Wembley Stadium's final resting place

There is a corner of a Slough field that is forever Wembley…

In 2003, Upton Court Park had been having problems with travellers gaining access to the park. The answer to this was to build grassy banks, known as bunds, around the edges to prevent vehicles getting in.

The bunds were built by digging a trench, filling it with rubble, and then covering the rubble with the earth which had originally been removed. The rubble was brought in from several sites, including the original Wembley Stadium, which was being demolished at the time.
