The Slough History Online project originated from the New Opportunities Fund (now Big Lottery Fund) Digitisation grants. The project aimed to develop a broad range of historical, cultural, social and geographical resources about Slough as a town. The website provides a "Sense of Place" as a life long learning resource for people today and for the future. It celebrates Slough's unique heritage and multicultural community.
