Slough History Online is managed and run by Slough Libraries which is part of Slough Borough Council.
Slough Libraries has also worked in partnership with the Sense of Place South East (SoPSE) consortium to produce this web site. Partners include Greenham - A Common Inheritance, Hantsphere, The Huntley and Palmers Collection, and Thames Pilot.
This web site was part-funded by a digitisation grant from the National Lottery's New Opportunities Fund, now the Big Lottery Fund.
The Slough Observer
Microfilm copies of the Slough Observer newspaper from 1883 - 1934 have been digitised by Slough Libraries.
Slough Museum has provided access to their resources and shared many of their photographs.
Other Support
Other individuals and organisations have also given material as part of a growing digital archive of the history of Slough and their contributions have been acknowledged.
We would like to add more material to the web site so that local people can share their memories and personal records. More information about how you can contribute your photographs and stories can be found on the Reminiscences theme page.
