What's New?

We have just loaded the definitive book on the history of our town, Maxwell Fraser's The History of Slough, is still the best guide to the history of our town. To read sections of the book, follow the link on the Latest News page of our website or use the search box above to find information about a subject, person or organisation.

We have loaded newspaper indexes for 1914 and our volunteers are now ploughing into the second year of World War I. We are also sorry to report that our engineers are still working on our zoomable image function, however the high resolution image function is still going strong.

We have now loaded more than half the births marriages and death images onto the website. To search the BMD columns, select advanced search from under the search box above and select "births marriages and deaths columns from the content type box.
