Full Description: The building is viewed from Upton Road and shows a detached early Georgian building with a symmetrical layout on three floors, with the second floor contained within the roof space. The building has a pitched roof with two front-facing dormer windows, and an entrance at the centre of the building at ground floor.
The early print of the building dated to about 1700 showed single storey wings on either side of the house but these have been demolished. The caption on the photgraph refers to the Earl of Leicester having a house on this site at an earlier date. The caption also states that the building was listed in 1980. |
