Full Description: The nearest building was formerly the White Hart Public House and the arched carriageway opening visible towards the middle of the building suggests that this was a Coaching Inn. The Inn closed in 1965. At the far end of the terrace is the Post Office.
Buildings generally appear to be 18th century opening directly onto the public footpath without forecourts, and have two or three storeys. Where a second floor occurs, this is generally located in the roof space with dormer windows. Roofs are plain tiled and there are large brick chimney stacks projecting above the roofs. Walls are either painted render on brickwork or facing brick. Windows are painted wood double hung sliding sashes, typical of the period. |
