Full Description: Cedar House, otherwise known as The Cedars, was originally a farmhouse. It was then bought by Slough Urban District Council for use as offices. It was then taken over by Prudential, and then demolished in 1938, to make room for the first public library in Slough. There is also a view of St. Ethelberts Roman Catholic Church in the background of the photograph. The slide also shows workmen, and people riding bicycles down the road. |
