Full Description: This photograph was taken in 1955 by Reg Harrison, who ran the Slough branches of his family business and formed an unsurpassed collection of slides, photographs and ephemera on the Slough area. Before 1924 the building was the Havelock Arms and the arched opening at the side of the building probably leads to a rear yard used at the time when this was a public house. In around 1961 the building became an off license as a department of the Waitrose Supermarket.
