Full Description: 2, East Villas consisted of substantial semi-detached, three story houses. Each house included 14 reception, bed and bathrooms, stables and a coach house. The annual rent of the house was £100.
In 1881 2, East Villas housed George Bentley, three members of his family and their two servants. George and Richard Bentley were publishers, who, amongst others, pubished the work of Charles Dickens. The poster calendar (on top left) shows a date 1884, three years before the before the Bentley Brother built the Mere. |
