Slough Formation Dance Team

Slough Formation Dance Team
Slough Formation Dance Team
'Strictly Come Dancing' is one of the most popular programmes on the television today, but how many of the public know that it has been running for almost 60 years !! My parents were Doug and Mollie Williams, who were two of the founder members of the Slough Formation Dance Team and performed many times on the BBC's 'Come Dancing'. This of course, was in the days of 'black and white' television only ! My Mum and Dad would have been thrilled to know, just how popular dancing has now become. I have a few photographs and newspaper clippings of the Team's successes throughout the 1950's and 1960's, but I would love to find out more. The dancing school was based at the old Slough Community Centre on the Farnham Road. If there is anyone who was involved or has any information, would they kindly contact me through this web page.
